A dinner, hosted by the Consulate General of Canada, will follow in the evening. Saturday morning, at the University Place Hotel, the PNWCSC Board of Directors holds its annual business meeting. All participants are welcome to attend and advise, though only Board members may vote and set policy. Otherwise, explore Portland, a fine city. If you misbehave, identify yourselves as members of the Harvard University Oregon Club. If you win lottery millions, donate to the Director's Personal Vacation Fund. |

University Place Hotel is offering AGM attendees a reduced rate of $89 USD per night and has reserved a block of rooms for the nights of January 29-30, 2009. The rate of $89 USD will be available for two days before the 29th and after the 30th on a space available basis. All reservations must be guaranteed by credit card. Please contact front desk agent to make reservations. University Place Hotel will only be holding the rooms until January 15, so please be sure to make your reservation before then if you have not already done so!
PNWCSC is able to cover the cost of one night's stay per attendee. (In other words, if you room alone, PNWCSC will cover the first night and you will be responsible for any other nights that you stay at the hotel; however, if you room with a colleague, PNWCSC will be able to cover the cost of the room for two nights - one night per attendee. PNWCSC is unable to cover any additional costs incurred by the attendance of a spouse or partner.) Please also note that PNWCSC is also unable to cover parking costs ($12 USD per day).
**If you make a reservation and are later unable to attend the meeting, you will be responsible for any and all costs incurred if you do not cancel your reservation. Cancellations must be received 24 hours in advance to avoid penalty charge of one night plus tax.**
